In 1983, the Florida Coast2Coast Ride began in Clearwater Beach, FL and ended in Cocoa, FL. This year's ride will start in Brandon, FL and end in Cocoa, FL. ______________________________________________________________________ Florida is a beautiful place to ride a motorcycle. Participating in the Florida Coast2Coast Ride virtually guarantees two things: 1. Seeing some of the most varied and awesome scenery the state of Florida has to offer. 2. A lot of solitude in which to enjoy the true essence of motorcycling. ______________________________________________________________________ It's almost impossible to understand the feeling of riding across Florida....until you've experienced the most unique ride that can only happen in the state of Florida. The Florida Coast2Coast Ride is one of the best rides! It lets you explore deep into the rural areas of the state. The ride offers the participants a chance to see a side of the Sunshine State that is uncommon and revealing. The ride holds the true essence of a leisurely adventure, letting you experience Florida's widely diverse archeological landscapes, a beguiling and grand mix of overt opulence and serene natural beauty, with scenic tranquil views, verdant pastoral countryside, pristine sapphire coastline, and panoramic tableau rural openness. The route will illuminate some of the best, yet lesser-known isolated and majesticly scenic back roads. This is a symphony of byways that are truly a hidden treasure. Join in the fun, to discover a newfound appreciation for Florida's back roads and byways by attending the scenically picturesque-rich Florida Coast2Coast Ride...it will absolutely be a journey to remember for a lifetime! ______________________________________________________________________ GAME PLAN FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2008: - Pre-ride dinner at Olive Garden, less than a half mile south of the Brandon, FL Holiday Inn Express, across from Brandon Mall on SR60, at 6:30 PM...mention the ride to be seated. ______________________________________________________________________ GAME PLAN FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2008: - 7:30-9:00 AM Ride Sign-In at the Holiday Inn Express, 510 Grand Regency Blvd, Brandon, FL - Ride fee: $12.00 Pre-Registered $15.00 Day of Ride - Entry fee includes a door prize ticket and an all day enjoyable ride. - Free Dunkin Donuts and bottled water at sign-in - get 'em while they last!. - Free limited edition 25 Years Later event pins to the first 150 Pre-Registered riders to sign in on the day of the ride. - All riders will be given a route sheet the day of the ride. This is a Self-Guided Ride. Riders can ride individually, with friends, group, club, or with other participants. - All participants in this ride are REQUIRED TO WEAR A DOT APPROVED HELMET AT ALL TIMES during the ride, per the "Waiver & Agreement." - Last rider out at 9:00 AM, SHARP!! - This is an all day ride & all day event. - You will play 'roll the dice' at sign-in and at checkpoints along the route. _____________________________________________________________________ SATURDAY EVENING SOCIAL & AWARDS PRESENTATION - HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS 301 Tucker Lane (I-95/CR520), in Cocoa, FL after the ride.
